ArenaNet — NCSoft

ArenaNet's first new game in over a decade, and the biggest announcement of SGF 2026 by a wide margin. Set in Orr, players join the Vaelwardens — a guild sworn to protect the land and its nature spirits — in what is also the franchise's debut on PlayStation 5 alongside PC. The combat system is designed to feel equally strong on controller or mouse and keyboard, with the first beta expected in Fall 2027.

Capcom Division 1 — Capcom

A remake of the 2000 Dreamcast classic, built by the same team behind the RE2 and RE4 remakes using the latest version of the RE Engine. The game follows Claire Redfield searching for her missing brother Chris in Europe, retaining the original story in a third-person over-the-shoulder format with a complete visual overhaul. No gameplay footage was shown in the reveal — only a cinematic trailer — but the game is confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC in 2027.

Panache Digital Games — Panache Digital Games

Patrice Désilets — creator of Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time — finally unveiled this passion project after over a decade in development. A dark third-person action-adventure, it follows Noa, a young woman wielding witchcraft, as she hunts supernatural entities called The Originals across three time periods: 1666, 1999, and the present day. A free prologue demo is already available on Steam and the Epic Games Store, with Early Access planned for PC later in 2026.

Firefly Studios — Firefly Studios

Built in Unreal Engine 5, Stronghold 4 returns to the series' classic medieval European setting with a 22-mission campaign following Penryn of Wethel, a shepherd whose rise to military leadership serves as a prequel to earlier entries in the franchise. The game features a deep economy shaped by real-time weather and day-night cycles, terrain deformation, and online multiplayer for up to eight players. Voice cast includes Samantha Béart (Baldur's Gate 3) and Ben Starr (Clair Obscur, Final Fantasy XVI), with a demo planned for June 23.

Hexworks — CI Games

Set 100 years after the first game — with the Umbral ending treated as canon — Lords of the Fallen II significantly reworks the dual-realm mechanic: the Umbral now actively shapes moment-to-moment gameplay rather than existing as a passive parallel layer. Combat is faster and more aggressive, with improved animations and a deep dismemberment system, and a fully seamless co-op mode with shared progression lets two players complete the entire campaign together without disconnecting after boss fights.

Creative Assembly — Sega

Creative Assembly revealed a brand-new entry in the franchise with an all-new setting, story, and protagonist — leaving Amanda Ripley behind to tell a fresh survival horror story. Set on a remote, storm-ravaged colony-world, players must navigate both the hostile environment and the claustrophobic confines of the Weyland-Yutani outpost known as Kurosaki Station. The game is confirmed for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2, with no release date announced.

That's No Moon — Smilegate

Developed by That's No Moon — a studio founded by ex-PlayStation and Call of Duty veterans with over $100M in funding from Smilegate — this is a premium single-player sci-fi cinematic shooter, distinct from the multiplayer franchise of the same name. The game follows two rival mercenaries, Layla Qassem (Claudia Doumit) and Delroy Cross (Ricky Whittle), forced to team up against a shared threat, built around an Adaptive Cover system that dynamically adjusts character stance based on terrain and enemy positions. No release date has been announced; the game is coming to PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.

Bandai Namco — Bandai Namco

Bandai Namco revealed this third-person action hack-and-slash as a designed entry point into the Gundam universe for newcomers. Set in an original timeline where humanity fights for survival against an unknown threat, players pilot RE-X in the high-mobility Gundam Helix mobile suit through enemy hordes and massive bosses across sprawling environments. Planned for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC with a 2027 release window.

Key creators of The Division & Little Nightmares — —

A 1–4 player co-op survival FPS set in a Nordic wilderness overtaken by aliens, from developers who previously worked on The Division and Little Nightmares. Players scavenge resources, combat alien threats, manage survival needs, and investigate missing expeditioners, with a central mechanic built around a sentient cube that gathers resources, scans environments, and unlocks new alien abilities when upgraded. Targeting a 2027 release on Steam and Epic Games Store.

tinyBuild — tinyBuild

Announced by tinyBuild, Last Harbor is a survival horror set during a zombie outbreak in the San Juan Islands of Washington State — where the threat doesn't end at the water's edge. Players navigate an open-world archipelago by boat, with the twist that hostile survivors prove just as dangerous as the undead. No release date has been announced.
